After a quick orientation, guests are outfitted with snorkeling gear, shown paddling technique and then launch from the shore.
Once on the water, the group will paddle about one mile (thirty minutes) to the first snorkeling site. They jump in the clear (visibility varies 40’ – 80’) blue water, of about 80°, to see the coral reef with an abundant assortment of colorful reef fish. Additionally, resident green sea turtles hang out in this area.
After about an hour in the water, guests climb back into their kayaks for a snack and casual discussion on coral reef ecology. Then it’s off to the second snorkel site (weather dependent) for more snorkeling fun before heading back to the boat ramp…an awesome morning on the water!
