Hawai‘i has a colorful paniolo (cowboy) history with the largest privately owned ranch in the USA located on the
Big Island of Hawa‘i.
The rich history of Hawaiian cattle ranching began when King Kamehameha III imported Mexican, Indian and Spanish vaqueros to train the Hawaiians. Paniolos were actively working cattle long before many of the Western United States had begun this tradition!

Mosey on down Main Street past the General Store and the Sheriff’s Jail, then on over to the “Last Chance Saloon” for a refreshing drink.
