The Power in You by Wally Amos
Wally Amos is credited with being the father of the gourmet cookie industry. He opened his first Famous Amos store on Sunset Boulevard in 1975. By 1985, sales had grown to more than $10 million. However, adverse financial results forced Amos to relinquish it’s ownership. Turning adversity into opportunity, he launched a new cookie venture, The Uncle Noname Cookie Company.
He is the author of several popular books, including Man With No Name Turns Lemons into Lemonade, The Face that Launched a Thousand Chips, The Power in You, and his latest book, Watermelon Magic. An inspiring public speaker, Amos shares his insights of managing change and overcoming adversity. He also addresses audiences on the topics of adult illiteracy and school dropout prevention.
